very emotional and difficult to read at some parts， especially as I’ve dealt with the same things Charlie is going through - it made me cry to remember and understand。Loved it though！！ Love nick’s journey as well as charlie’s。 and also loved seeing michael！

What do you want me to say？ It's Heartstopper - of course it's utterly wonderful！I did feel like not a lot actually happened here， plot-wise。 This was definitely more of a character-driven story that the previous installments， but it was so necessary for Nick and Charlie， for Charlie to start healing from his eating disorder and for Nick to stand up to the men in his family。And the "I love you" scene was the cutest thing I think I've ever read！ What do you want me to say？ It's Heartstopper - of course it's utterly wonderful！I did feel like not a lot actually happened here， plot-wise。 This was definitely more of a character-driven story that the previous installments， but it was so necessary for Nick and Charlie， for Charlie to start healing from his eating disorder and for Nick to stand up to the men in his family。And the "I love you" scene was the cutest thing I think I've ever read！ 。。。more

Read this sweet sweet story while I Ate maruchan ramen for the first time in months bc my local grocery stores don’t sell it anymore and I ordered a 12 pack off of Amazon for over twice the normal price bc I deserved it。 Felt like I needed to say that。 But this！！！！！ So wonderful and sweet and important and everyone should read this series I’ve successfully melted！

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 5 stars。I've gotten so lucky because with being able to check the Heartstopper books out first before the waitlist becomes unbelievably long。 My library also always adds them whenever I'm not in the best headspace， so reading these books give me a bit of comfort。 This volume mainly follow Charlie's struggles with his eating disorder and him seeking help。 I saw a lot of this volume when it was originally updates on Tumblr， but a good amount of the plot was still unknown to me。 This has definitely 5 stars。I've gotten so lucky because with being able to check the Heartstopper books out first before the waitlist becomes unbelievably long。 My library also always adds them whenever I'm not in the best headspace， so reading these books give me a bit of comfort。 This volume mainly follow Charlie's struggles with his eating disorder and him seeking help。 I saw a lot of this volume when it was originally updates on Tumblr， but a good amount of the plot was still unknown to me。 This has definitely been the darkest of the volumes， with the depictions of mental health and how rough it can be on the person going through it first hand and their loved ones who don't know how to completely help or take away the pain。 It also deals with Nick coming out to his dad， along with his brother making homophobic remarks to him throughout the book。 I really love Nick's mom and how supportive and caring she is。 I especially loved the scene on the beach where she is telling Nick that he can't cure Charlie and the way they were was becoming too codependent in an unhealthy way。 I also liked that she told him the ways that he could support Charlie and helped him research more about eating disorders。 The scene where Charlie is about to say I love you but Nick brings up his eating disorder and Charlie's reaction guts me。 Seeing Charlie's mental health deteriorate was really hard and sad to see， but as very relatable。 I wasn't expecting him to go to a psych ward， but I'm glad that he chose to go and I'm happy that it was an overall positive experience。 I really relate to Charlie a lot as a character， in terms of our anxiety， thought processes， and being prone to stress。 Seeing him get diagnosed with OCD was interesting because for the past few months， I've been thinking that I might have OCD。 I also liked that the story didn't show Charlie come back from the psych ward and automatically be 100% better with absolutely no bad days or setbacks。 That's just a part of the journey and making progress。 It's a constant up and down struggle and there are good days， bad days， and days that are a bit of both。 I really appreciated that Charlie and Nick both realized that they can't handle everything by themselves and be each other's only support system， which is why they should and need to lean on their family， friends， teachers， therapists， etc。I truly love all of the couples in this series。 From Charlie/Nick， Elle/Tao， Darcy/Tara and even the two teachers， seeing them all just warm my heart and I adore them so much。 Also， Tori was the MVP of this volume。 I love how she looked ready to personally throw hands with Nick's brother and she had every right to。 I also would like to know more about what she is going through， which probably means I should read Solitaire soon。 I can't believe that the next volume is going to be the final one。。。 Honestly I've been so used to seeing and looking forward to new updates on Tumblr， I didn't think that this would eventually end。 I'm grateful for all of these characters and the joy and peace that their stories have brought me， especially in times where I really needed it。 I'm glad that I still have some books by Alice Oseman that I still haven't gotten to yet。 I'm looking forward to seeing how Charlie and Nick's story ends in the final volume。 。。。more
